Valsugana is scattered with archaeological sites and mighty castles, which are interesting traces of its rich history.
Castel Telvana in Borgo Valsugana and Castel Ivano in Ivano Fracena, dating back to 590 a.C. are two of the main castles. Corte Trapp, in Caldonazzo is also impressive and beautiful.
The Forts in Tenna, on Cima Vezzena and the Fort Busa Verle are reminders of the events which took place during the First World War in Valsugana, on the then border between Austria and Italy, where the two enemy armies fought many times.
Arte Sella is an international event of contemporary art that takes place outdoors in the meadows, in the woods of Val di Sella (municipality of Borgo Valsugana). The event is not only a qualified exhibition of works of art along a forest road on the southern side of Mount Armentera, but also and above all a creative process in which the work is followed day by day in its growth and the intervention of the artist must express the relationship with nature based on respect, drawing inspiration and stimulus from it.
